InfoTrac Newsstand:

Full-text newspaper articles from newspapers across the country and around the world, including the New York Times, the New York Post, The Daily News, the Albany Times Union and other newspapers. It includes more than 1,100 major U.S. regional, national and local newspapers along with international titles!

It also includes radio and TV broadcasts and podcasts with transcriptions.

Health Reference Center Academic

This database is more along the academic vein, as its name implies, so a search for “diabetes and cinnamon”, for example, will give you results detailing scientific studies first and you have to select “magazines’ as your source for more non-professional information. It’s a wonderful source for health professionals. Articles in this database cover all aspects of health and disease for the time period from 1980 until present. The coverage includes both academic titles, and more consumer-friendly titles from journals in the standard Health Reference Center. In addition, there are files in other media types, such as podcasts and video files, for listening and viewing, and there are also digital texts from reference books. As with other Gale databases, bibliographic entries are automatically generated in a variety of popular formats, making it handy for research assignments.
